UWS Students Present Scottish Premiere of MARGUERITE

The University Of The West Of Scotland’s BA Musical Theatre student’s production this year is the  Scottish Premier of the musical  Marguerite.

We are delighted to present the Scottish premier of this romantic and dramatic musical in the beautiful  Rutherglen Town Hall from Weds 19th to Tues 25th January.

Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, the creators of Les Miserables, like to set love stories against vast political backdrops. In Miss Saigon they transplanted a Madam Butterfly-style relationship to the Vietnam War. In Marguerite, the  musical for which they have written the book, they have updated La Dame aux Camelias – the inspiration for Verdi’s La Traviata – to Paris during the Nazi occupation.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 0141 613 5700 priced at  £10.00 and £6.50.

Your support would be much appreciated.

 Thank you from the Directors
