Fantastic Opportunities for Creative Industries Students-Information about one of the LTW2 funded projects and Student  Placements

Third Sector Internships Scotland is a new programme which helps students to find paid work experience in the Third Sector (www.qmu.ac.uk/TSIS).

The four-year programme, part of the Scottish Funding Council’s Learning to Work 2 initiative, is open to students from all Scottish Higher Education Institutions, and is being delivered by Queen Margaret University, The Open University in Scotland and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations , with support from universities across Scotland and Student Volunteering Scotland.

TSI Scotland builds on successful pilot work undertaken last year in placing students in Third Sector organisations.  Students are offered outstanding opportunities to develop their skills and experience whilst also having a positive impact on the vital work delivered by Scotland’s Third Sector.

Internships are offered on a competitive basis to all levels of undergraduate and post-graduate student, and are of varying lengths, types and locations across Scotland to ensure maximum flexibility and to encourage participation from a diverse range of students.

The programme partners work with Third Sector organisations to develop suitable projects for students, and provide ongoing support to the organisation and students in order to make the most of the opportunities.  Student interns receive payment through the programme.

Internships are up to 10 weeks in duration, and will be offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.

The first 5 job descriptions have been launched on the TSIS website: www.qmu.ac.uk/TSIS
