Young Innovators Challenge:

This new competition that the Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) have been asked to run is on behalf of the Scottish Government. It is called the Young Innovators Competition http://www.sie.ac.uk/about-sie/sie-activities/young-innovators-challenge.aspx The Young Innovators Challenge was recently launched by the First Minister for final year students aged 18-24 and due to graduate in 2013. Participants will be tasked with finding business solutions to key industry challenges, and could win up to £50,000 and a year of business support to take their idea forward. These challenges will be set at Challenge Labs which will take place in February 2013 in locations across Scotland. Anyone attending will benefit from training and support from business experts and entrepreneurs and get a head-start over other entrants.

Also, the Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) is launching a New Ventures Competition http://www.sie.ac.uk/about-sie/sie-activities/new-ventures.aspx deadline is 25th January and would be great for anyone who has a business plan prepared.
