Universal Comedy is seeking Freelance Support Workers to provide assistance to our Comedy Tutors at our workshops, courses and events across the central belt of Scotland.

Universal Comedy provide a wide range of workshops and courses using comedy to improve the lives of young people and adults with long term ill health, who are isolated in their community.

This post would potentially suit BA Community Arts graduates (or similar) as organisational skills are required.  The post holders would be required to have their own car and be flexible to travel to a variety of projects across the central belt of Scotland.  They will be reimbursed for their travelling expenses.

Our workshop sessions are usually 2 – 3 hours long and normally during the day, although some evening work may be required.

The post holder will be responsible for reporting income earned to H.M. Revenue and Customs, and paying their own tax and National Insurance contributions.

Salary:           £30 – £50 depending on length of session

Hours:            2 – 3 hrs sessions

Time Scale:  On-going

Location:       Across the central belt of Scotland

Start:              As soon as possible by negotiation

Terms:           As this post involves working with/contact with vulnerable people, any offer of employment will be confirmed following the company’s procedures and policies with regards to obtaining references and enhanced disclosure status.
